Hara village builds the village institution (sustainable house) which utilized natural power sources for the light and heat of a building as part of the "Haramura eco-village concept" which advances maintainable practical use of natural power sources, emissions cut of greenhouse gas, etc.

In the current fiscal year, the plan which designs was made public in the village assembly all the members' conference open on the 10th. Students on the outskirts of a village and researchers visit, and it plays a role of an advanced institution which studies the structure of independence of energy. The outlet of agricultural products and processed goods in the village is also prepared, and it expects also as an exchange base with city zone residents.

As for working expenses, a half is a country subsidy for about 83 million yen. An alternative energy-related assistant industry application will be made in a country next year.
According to the plan, an institution is 2 stories of wooden gross floor space of 317 square meters. The second floor, such as a meeting ground which, as for the first floor, can perform an outlet, a cafe, and training, is planning the consultation room with a model room function.

Electric power installs a solar power generation device. The private power generator by the BDF fuel which refined the waste cooking oil collected in the village etc. is also used.

In winter, the dynamo which makes the "Stirling engine" which utilized the surplus heat of the biomass boiler installed as a heat source of heating and hot-water supply the source of power is also utilized. A solar water heater and a small firewood boiler are also used as a hot-water supply system.It is said that the carbon-dioxide emissions of institutions are zero and fuel and light prices hardly start in principle as compared with the scale institution, either.

In a design and construction, the examination committee will be established by energies, or agricultural relations and general invitation committees by the end of August, the briefing session to residents, etc. are held, and the resident opinion is made to reflect. With a village eco-village concept, the special service part-time-service personnel who are in charge of a plan and practice are recruited openly, and Mr. Ken Oikawa of Tokyo is employed. The "eco-hot-water supply system" introduction to the hot water to Mt. Yatsugatake Natural Cultural Garden which is solar-power-generation-device-installed and is rubbed, etc. are planned.
