News Release / MOEJ, Feasibility Studies 2012 - for GHG Mitigation Projects

- Global Environment Centre Founadtion (GEC) has adopted 29 studies for GHG mitigation projects/activities for 2012, under the Demonstration/Feasibility Study Programme, which is commissioned by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ).
GEC solicited study proposals for (1) MRV Demonstration Study (DS) using Model Project, (2) Bilateral Offset Credit Mechanism (BOCM) Feasibility Study (FS), and (3) CDM Feasibility Study (FS), during 12th April and 17th May 2012, from Japanese entities (private companies, and NGO/NPOs), and 69 proposals. Through the strict review process, 29 Studies (13 for MRV DS, 12 for BOCM FS, and 4 for CDM FS) were selected and officially adopted, as follows. 1.Current fiscal year program
The current year carries out feasibility investigation of BOCM with the help of the Cambodia Ministry of Environment as an enterprise together with Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley, Inc. and Cambodia Angkor Bio Cogen Co ltd.
2.A future prospect
Since a small-scale power generation contractor also exists and the demand about the electric power supply in a rice-cleaning mill owner's factory system and the electricity sales to utilities of surplus electric power is also considered, Cambodia by harnessing the contents by investigation of the current year in the business plan of our company, We will perform active conduct of business so that Cambodia and the same needs of neighboring countries can be fulfilled.
